You must submit a bound copy of your report to the Hendon EIS Student Office by 16:00 on 17 August 2009 and email a Word document to the module team by that deadline.
Late submission is not permitted under any circumstances
In the coursework set in the attachement you must demonstrate that you have attained the learning outcomes of the module and can do the following:
1. Explain and reflect on various notions and models of knowledge management (KM).
2. Analyse and explain the uses and misuses of common terms in KM, such as ‘knowledge’, ‘information’ and ‘data’, in organisational contexts and in the expression of knowledge management strategies.
3. Consider the role of knowledge workers and leaders in promoting organisational learning and knowledge development.
4. Select between non-IT based and IT-based strategies for strategic KM programmes.
5. Evaluate social tools and technologies in supporting organisations in knowledge communication, creation and utilisation.
6. Participate in an organisation, understanding its knowledge needs and strategic KM options.
7. Work as a member of a team to identify resources, both within an organisation and external to it, which can be mobilised to create a knowledge management ethos.
8. Evaluate organisational knowledge management programmes on a strategic level.
9. Work as a member of a team to create and operate a community of practice.
- Write authoritatively about KM ideas and critique what others have written about KM.
